Patricio Domínguez is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica, Chile. His research interests include program evaluation and applied econometrics. Patricio is working on the effect of crime-control policies, and immigration on society's wellbeing at large, and its interactions with the criminal justice system in various contexts, including the United States and Latin America. He previously worked as a Labor Economist at the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank, and received both his M.P.P, and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
