Patrick Smytzek is a Young Professional / Natural Resources Management Specialist in the Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice at the World Bank. In this role he supports the World Bank’s operational and analytical work on nature-based solutions and climate resilience in South Asia. Prior to joining the World Bank, he has worked with GIZ, BMZ, WRI and ICRAF on issues related to climate risk management in rural and agricultural development. His main professional interest is how to leverage natural capital for climate adaptation on the level of landscapes and incorporating these insights into the design of impactful projects.
