Paul M. Vaaler is the John and Bruce Mooty Chair in Law & Business, a joint faculty appointment of the University of Minnesota's Law School and Carlson School of Management, where he has taught since 2007. He is also an Affiliated Fellow of Oxford University's Said Business School. He holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota. He has published in several management and economics journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Money and Finance, Organization Science, Review of Development Economics, and Strategic Management Journal. His main professional and academic interests focus on investment risk management issues in developing countries.
