Paula Rossiasco is a Senior Social Development Specialist. She has extensive experience with crime and violence prevention and citizen security initiatives in both Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean, working in the design and implementation of technical assistance and investment projects in numerous countries including Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya and Rwanda, as well as in sub-regional initiatives in Central, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Paula has worked on violence prevention programs as a public servant for the Colombian Government, as a specialist at multi-lateral organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank, and as a private consultant. She is the co-author of numerous analytical pieces, including most recently the report “Urban Fragility and Violence in Africa: A Cross-country Analysis” (2014).
