Paula Suarez is a Program Officer in the President’s Delivery Unit. She has ten years of experience in policy implementation and institutional design. She was Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Finance in Ecuador, functioned as Chief of Staff and worked as Adviser to the Minister of Energy and Mines.
Paula coordinated the reform of the public financial management system, worked on debt re-structuring, hydrocarbons reform and oversaw the portfolio with multi-lateral organizations. She has also been a member of the executive team of Ministers of Economy and has worked as a consultant for United Nations and The Nature Conservancy.
Paula is an Economist by training and holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration and International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She joined the World Bank in 2009.
