Peter Chacha is a senior economist in the World Bank’s Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Unit, with experience in budget policy formulation, implementation and review of economic policies. Before joining the World Bank, Chacha worked with the National Treasury in Kenya for seven years leading the preparation of the medium-term budget documents, macro and fiscal projections, and monitoring the implementation of fiscal policy. He has experience in presenting to high profile individuals and seminars such as the East African Community delegates, the African Union Conference of Ministers for Planning and Finance, CSAE seminars at Oxford, UK, the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), and school seminars at UCT and University of Nottingham, UK. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and a BA in Economics from the University of Nairobi.
