Peter is a Senior Industry Specialist for embedded systems with IFC’s Climate Business Department. This includes grid scale energy storage (battery) systems, as well as smart utility meters, building management systems, and lighting systems. Peter was previously CTO with Berlin-based smart electricity metering start-up yetu AG, developing an electricity management system based on a home area network around the smart meter. He has a decade of experience in telecommunications and IT with Deutsche Telekom AG as VP Strategy and SVP R&D. He has also built and managed R&D labs in Berlin, Beer Sheva and Los Altos. Peter also spent consulting with Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He has a B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in Computer Science from Cambridge University, Diplominformatik (M.Sc. in software engineering) from TU Aachen.
