Peyo Stanchev is a Water Resources Management Specialist for the World Bank with more than 10 years experience in the Water Sector, including Water Resource and Flood Risk Management, Water Supply and Sanitation, Water Utility operations and implementation of Circular Economy and Eco-Efficiency principles in the water sector. He currently coordinates the preparation of the 2nd cycle Flood Risk Management Plans in Bulgaria as part of a World Bank technical assistance to support the Bulgarian Ministry of Environment and Water in the development of the 3rd cycle River Basin Management Plans and 2nd cycle Flood Risk Management plans. Before joining the World Bank, Peyo worked as an engineer, researcher and consultant in wide range of water management projects. Peyo holds a MSc in Civil Engineering and a PhD degree in water supply and sewerage.
