Philip Schuler is a Senior Economist in the Macroeconomic and Fiscal Management Global Practice. He currently serves as a country economist in the Caribbean, where he is responsible for lending and analytical work in Guyana, Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname. From 2010 to 2014 he was the World Bank Country Representative in Namibia. He was a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s International Trade Department from 2001 to 2010, where he led preparation of the World Bank Group Trade Sector Strategy Paper, directed trade studies in Sudan and Pakistan, and contributed to analysis, lending operations, and technical assistance activities in many other countries.
