Philipp Petermann is a Disaster Risk Management Specialist in the Urban, Resilience and Land Global Practice of the World Bank. His work focuses on disaster risk management (DRM) and resilient recovery in the Middle East and North Africa region, including in Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen Lebanon and Iraq. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked on private sector development issues with the OECD and supported a local NGO in Somalia on peacebuilding issues. He holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and undergraduate degrees from Sciences Po Paris and the Université de Lorraine in political science and economics.
