Environmental Economist, Middle East and North Africa

Phoebe Spencer is an environmental economist and Young Professional working in the Middle East and North Africa region, and is a co-team lead of the State and Peacebuilding Fund-supported project, Environment and Climate Support in FCS. Phoebe’s work centers on finding sustainable solutions to ecological and economic challenges, and understanding relationships between natural resource management, fragility, and conflict. Phoebe holds a PhD in Natural Resources and an MSc in Community Development and Applied Economics from the University of Vermont and a master’s in Anthropology and Geography from McGill University.
