Pier currently serves clients and supports teams in the Africa region as a lead water supply and sanitation specialist. In his 16 years of experience with the World Bank he has enjoyed leading teams in water policy dialogue, institutional reform and infrastructure programs in the Africa, Europe and Central Asia, and Middle East and North Africa regions.
Prior to joining the Bank in 2004, Pier’s experience spanned 19 years of engineering consulting and utility management responsibilities in Europe, Africa and the Americas. Pier holds graduate civil and environmental engineering degrees from the University of Wisconsin and the Ecole Centrale of Paris.
