Pierre Guigon is a Senior Climate Finance Specialist at the World Bank, currently working with the Climate Finance and Economics Unit on the design of scalable, innovative financing for climate change, with a focus on nature-based solutions. Previous to this role, Pierre worked with the Bank’s Global Practice for Environment, Natural Resources, and Blue Economy where he managed several large-scale investment and policy lending operations on landscape resilience, sustainable agriculture, and forest protection in the Africa Region—including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, and the Central African Republic. Prior to joining the World Bank, Pierre worked in environmental finance at New York Stock Exchange Euronext and the French public financial institution Caisse des Dépôts (CDC). He holds a MSc in Energy and Environmental Economics and a MSc in Agronomic Engineering from AgroParistech.
