Pieter Serneels is Professor of economics at the University of East Anglia and a Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford. Pieter’s research focuses on human capital and development, drawing from behavioural and experimental economics. His work appears in leading economics and social science journals and books. His current research focuses on education, health, climate change and work, and policy decision-making. Pieter is also a JPAL Affiliated Professor and Research Fellow at IZA, EGAP, and EUDN. He leads the Behavioural and Experimental Development Economics Research Group (BEDERG) and was until recently the Economics Research Fellow at FCDO.
