A Russian native, Polina Bogomolova now works in the IBRD Moscow office as a Network coordinator and consultant for the Eurasian Center for Food Security under the IBRD ECFS RAS program. In 2014, Polina completed her MA at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), concentrating in Energy Resources and Environment and International Economics. Prior to joining the Bank in 2015, she worked as a private sector consultant. Polina is a big food and nature lover, so, naturally, her major interest within the field of energy and environment is the food-water-energy nexus. She is also interested in advancement of clean energy with respect to global warming, and energy efficiency and its impact on agricultural sector development. Drawing upon developments in the cleantech industry and science of sustainable farming, she is striving to find solutions for making the agricultural sector, particularly in the ECA region, sustainable, efficient and inviting while maintaining high yields and supplying nutritional foodstuffs for all.
