Mr. POUMBOU Frédéric is a demographer-sociologist, holder of a specialized higher education diploma in demography from the Institute of Demographic Training and Research (IFORD) in Yaoundé (Cameroon). He joined the National Institute of Statistics of Congo in 2008, where he participates in the implementation of large-scale statistical investigations. Director of Surveys and Censuses from 2020 to 2022, he was responsible for developing collection tools, training agents and supervising data collection, control and clearance programs for several operations (censuses, DHS, surveys on poverty, employment, Covid-19, etc.). Since 2022, he has held the position of Director of Demographic and Social Statistics. In addition, from 2016 to 2020, he held the position of statistical adviser to the Minister of Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration. These experiences have allowed him to be at the heart of the production and validation of indicators for the development, monitoring and evaluation of development projects at various levels.
