Priyal Mukesh Gala is an Education Consultant at the World Bank’s Education Global Practice, with over a decade of experience in international education development. Her expertise spans, foundational learning, teacher professional development, education technology, and vocational skills education.

At the World Bank, Priyal has co-authored key reports on digital skills, gender, STEM education, trust fund annual reports, and early grade reading assessments. She has managed major initiatives, including the Foundational Learning Compact (FLC) and Tertiary Education Skills (TES) trust funds, and developed knowledge management portals for the South Asia region.

Previously, Priyal worked with Ashoka University on curriculum development and collaborated with the Wikimedia Foundation on global education projects during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as a Program Manager and Teaching Fellow at Teach for India, leading fellow development and improving student learning outcomes.

Priyal holds a master’s degree in education and human development (International Education) from The George Washington University. Her work has been recognized through awards such as the Nakyuin Shin International Education Award and multiple merit scholarships. In addition to her professional achievements, Priyal is multilingual and actively engaged in volunteer work focused on leadership development and mentoring school students.
