Priyam Saraf is a Senior Economist at the World Bank Group where she has been working on the Bank’s private and financial sector development programs for low-middle-high income countries in Latin America and Caribbean and in South Asia. Her research focuses on improving human capital in the private sector, and through the private sector, to achieve goals of higher productivity and job creation. Priyam is part of the Bank’s Young Professional’s Program and is based in Washington D.C. Before D.C., she spent time in the New Delhi Country Office where she managed a portfolio of operations and research. Priyam has published policy recommendations in several publications, including the World Development Report on Education (2018). Prior to the World Bank, Priyam worked at Bain & Company and at the Monetary Authority of Singapore. She holds a BSc. in Information Systems Management and a BSc. in Economics and Social Science from Singapore Management University as well as a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
