Purnima Menon is Senior Director, Food and Nutrition Policy, CGIAR and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), based in New Delhi, India. She also directs POSHAN (Partnerships and Opportunities to Strengthen and Harmonize Actions for Nutrition), an initiative for better use of nutrition evidence in India; and co-leads the CGIAR Initiative on Transforming Agrifood Systems in South Asia. Dr. Menon conducts research on scaling maternal and child nutrition interventions, including evaluating large-scale behavior change communication programs in nutrition and health. She holds a PhD in International Nutrition from Cornell University and has done research in India, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Haiti, Viet Nam, and Nepal.
