Pyush Dogra, a Civil and Environmental Engineer by training is currently working as Senior environmental Specialist in Delhi office. Pyush has applied his technical knowledge in leading the safeguards work on hydropower and water resources for the India program, and has contributed to the Bank’s dialog on the core sectors of energy, water resources, forestry and environmental management. Over the past year, Pyush has taken a more significant role in the energy sector, as he is jointly leading Vishnu gad hydro Project, which is a key operation that marks SAR’s re-engagement in this crucial sector. He also led the sectoral policy lending operation on Inclusive Green Growth Policy in Himachal Pradesh was highly appreciated He also led Bank’s reengagement in forestry sector in India.. Currently, he is leading three operations in India on Natural Resource Management, Water resources and forestry and is also contributing towards regional technical assistance on sediment management in hydro sector through green initiatives. Pyush is a resource on green issues in India and has supported bank operations in Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
