Qursum Qasim is a Senior Private Sector Specialist in the World Bank’s Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation team. She works on green micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) and value chain development, access to finance for green investments, and sustainable tourism development. Her areas of interest lie in supporting women’s entrepreneurship and digital transformation. Qursum leads World Bank lending and technical assistance programs in Malawi and Ethiopia, with experience working on projects in the Southern Africa, Central Asia and South Asia regions. She has a Master's degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
