Michael Roscitt

Senior Public Sector Specialist, Governance Global Practice

Michael is currently the Senior Public Specialist for the World Bank based in the Malawi Country Office in Lilongwe. He is the Task Team Leader for several projects and analytical products in Malawi at the intersection of public sector reform, decentralization, public financial management, citizen engagement and service delivery. Most recently this includes the delivery of the Malawi Fiscal Governance Program for Results – the first PforR in the Malawi portfolio.

Previously, he worked in the Governance Global Practice Global Unit where he supported the design of flagship analytical programs including Innovation in Tax Compliance which promotes strategies to engender greater trust in tax administrations and the integration of impact evaluations in the Governance GP lending portfolio in coordination with the Development Impact (DIME) department. 

Michael has a Masters in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
