Rachel Kathini Mwendwa is one of the winners of the Law, Justice and Development Week 2019 Law Student Contest for Development Solutions.
Born in Kenya, Rachel moved to Botswana as an infant where she lived for nearly 18 years. She returned to Kenya in 2017 to matriculate at the University of Nairobi School of Law, where she is currently an undergraduate student in her third year of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. She was a member of the winning team of the African Human Rights Moot Competition 2019, organized by the Centre for Human Rights at the Law Hight Court of Botswana, Gaborone. Rachel currently serves as President of the University of Nairobi Moot Court Competition and has a keen interest in human rights and development.
