Rachel has been working on the climate change agenda since she joined the World Bank in 2016. She has been supporting various technical assistance programs related to greening countries’ financial system. This includes supporting the financial sector’s management of climate risks and supporting the development of innovative financial instruments to mobilize capital toward climate action. Furthermore, Rachel has worked on various programs related to carbon pricing and carbon markets, such as the Networked Carbon Markets, Climate Warehouse, and the Partnership for Market Readiness program. Before joining the World Bank, she worked as a Research Analyst at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment to support policy analysis on climate change. Rachel has a MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Geography with Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
