Rahat Jabeen is a Senior Environment Specialist in Environment Natural Resources and Blue Economy unit in the South Asia Region of the World Bank Group. Rahat is a leading expert on designing and implementing sustainable environment and natural resources management interventions through operations and advisory analytics. She has successfully steered pioneering analytical and advisory work on blue economy, natural capital accounting, sustainable plastic management in Pakistan along with implementing the Environmental Safeguard Framework in World Bank’s operation portfolio. She believes that sustainable environment and natural resources management will support livelihoods and strong economies and build a world that is better prepared for shocks and global challenges like climate change and food scarcity.
