Rajiv Sharma is a Research Associate at Stanford University’s Global Projects Center and an honorary research associate at the Oxford University Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. He received his Doctorate at Oxford University where his thesis title was the role of private institutional investors for the development of urban infrastructure assets. Rajiv has worked as an economist for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris and as a research fellow for the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative. While at the OECD, he was part of the Long Term Investment Project, a global initiative instigated by G20 leaders with the aim of encouraging the flow of institutional investment towards longer-term assets. Promoting long-term investment by institutional investors is a focus of his current work at Stanford and through this, he has worked with a number of global institutional investors. He has also worked for venture capital private equity firm Oxford Capital Partners and London-based Infrastructure/Private Equity Advisory firm, Campbell Lutyens.
