Maya Kaqchikel, he is the Coordinator of CICA/Sotz’il Natural Resources Management Program with Indigenous Peoples of Central America. Previously he was the Indigenous Representative at the Consejo Nacional de Cambio Climático, member of the Mesa Indígena de Cambio Climático, member of the Consejo Indígena of Central America, focal point at the Convention for Biological Diversity, Member of the UICN Global Council, traditional indigenous knowledge and disaster risk management consultant, among others. Mr. Batzin has a Master’s degree in Local Environment Management and a bachelor degrees in journalism and communications.
