Raquel Leslie is an undergraduate student at Harvard University studying Government and East Asian Studies. Her research interests include migration policy, globalization, and educational measurement. This summer, Raquel worked on a team in the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice at the World Bank that is supporting the Government of Afghanistan in the design of an international labor migration system. She investigated both the capacity of domestic service providers to link jobseekers with employment in Afghanistan, as well as the selection methodology behind public service delivery in order to inform the design of a pilot employment program in Afghanistan.
