Lead Infrastructure Specialist

Raymond Bourdeaux is currently Lead Infrastructure Specialist in the MENA region. In the front office of the MNSSD Director, he is working on Public Private partnership issues across the region. He joined the World Bank in 2006 in the Social Development network (SDN), Partial Risk Guarantee unit. During his time within FEU FS unit (the follow up name of the guarantee unit) he worked on large infrastructure projects involving private sector participation in Africa (Bujagali Hydropower Project, Dakar Diamniadio PPP road project) and in ECA (Russian RTA program on infrastructure PPP in St Petersburg). He also worked on projects in SAP and SA region. He is also one of the core member of the Global Expert Team on PPP, supporting projects and initiatives around Public Private Partnership across the World Bank. Prior to joining the World Bank, He worked as a Director in Project Finance, PPP and Privatisation at PwC in London and Singapore and prior to this as an investment banker in London for Banque Paribas. His professional focus has been infrastructure financing , spanning transport, water, energy and soft infrastructure sectors (Health and Education).He holds a Master Degree in trade, administration and finance from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Toulouse.
