Energy Consultant

Reem is an Energy Consultant at the World Bank responsible for the on the ground management of a number of infrastructural projects and technical assistances spanning generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity, energy policy and finance, energy efficiency and renewable energy technology.

Previously, she served as an investment and strategy consultant for Fortune 500 companies, including Orascom Telecom and Orascom Development. For Jaguar Land Rover (Tata Motors LTD), she spearheaded a key market research initiative, which provided an in-depth social, political, and economic analysis of growth opportunities in MENA. In collaboration with Future Energy Corporation and governmental partners, she managed Orascom Development Holding's (SWX: ODHN) investment activities to create Africa's first carbon-neutral city. 

In addition to her involvement in the World Economic Forum since 2013, Reem was appointed to the University of California, Berkeley's Big Ideas Competition Judging Committee to evaluate and advise on projects in the Energy and Resource Alternatives category.
 
Reem holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Science from Oriel College, University of Oxford in Environmental Change and Management.
