Development Economist

Regina Seri Atsebi, a national of Côte d’Ivoire, is a Development Economist - Consultant in the Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region at the World Bank, where she contributes to the analysis of Rules of Origin harmonization for the flagship report on Africa’s Trade Integration. Prior to this role, Regina served as a Research Analyst in the South Asia Country Units, where she contributed to post-election policy notes for Bangladesh and Bhutan to support their transition to Upper Middle-Income status. She joined the Bank in 2021 through the McNamara Fellowship and later participated in the Africa Fellowship Program, where she co-authored and published research papers on trade policy and green transition, notably on the Philippines.

Regina holds a Ph.D. in Development Economics from CERDI - University of Clermont Auvergne (France) and has taught Macroeconomics, Mathematics, and Statistics. Her areas of interest include Natural resource management, Trade integration, Trade policy, and Climate transition.
