Remzi Baris Tercioglu is a consultant at the World Bank, where his work is centered on macroeconomic modeling, specifically focusing on climate-smart fiscal tools like carbon taxation and expenditure policies. He has a strong interest in constructing policy combinations that guide countries in achieving their net-zero emissions targets. With a background in applied macroeconomics, Baris places a significant emphasis on ensuring that these models align closely with real-world data using Bayesian estimation techniques. Prior to joining the World Bank, he completed his Economics PhD at the New School for Social Research and published his dissertation research on business cycles in Macroeconomic Dynamics.
