Renzo Sotomayor is a Health Specialist with the World Bank Group. He has more than 15 years of experience dedicated to improving the health and human development across countries in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. He has built and led teams working on quality of primary healthcare; program-for-results; reproductive, maternal and child health; and non-communicable diseases.
He received his Medical Doctor degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM), and holds a master’s degree in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) which he attended as a Chevening Scholar.
Renzo joined the World Bank in 2013, through the very competitive Young Professionals recruitment program. He previously worked for the Peruvian government and the United Nations. Originally from Lima, Peru, Renzo is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
