Riaz started consulting with the World Bank in 2018 as a private sector specialist while she was working as a product head at one of the top fintech start-ups in Indonesia, Pluang. Prior to that, she co-led the investment, start-up support and advisory arm of Indonesia’s largest angel investment organization, ANGIN. She has published research on startup assistance organizations in Indonesia and their role in closing the gender gap in the Indonesian startup ecosystem. Previously, she co-founded an analytics, strategy and innovation consulting startup in India specializing in the political sector and established various social and development projects in north India. She also has consulting and other work experience with leading global organizations such as Rolls-Royce, Accenture and Cadence Design Systems. Riaz graduated with a Master’s in Management from Imperial College London specializing in strategy and innovation.
