Rijak Grover is Labor Specialist at the World Bank specializing in urbanization. Previously, she was co-author of the IFC Job Study (2013) which led to the creation of the Let’s Work global partnership (www.letswork.org). While still at the London School of Economics in 2010, Rijak co-wrote a report on urban youth unemployment in Africa for the Gates Foundation. Since graduating, she has worked at the World Bank and U.N. on how to create jobs and improve working conditions – especially for women and youth. This has included work with the governments of Morocco and Tunisia on the quality of their workforce development systems (SABER-WfD), with the ILO-IFC Better Work program (on both sides of the partnership), and most recently with FAO on an upcoming report about green jobs for women in agriculture.
