Rima Koteiche is a Senior Financial Management Specialist with the Governance Global Practice in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. She has been leading fiduciary work in Fragile Conflict and Violence (FCV) countries for more than a decade now. She is a Public Financial Management (PFM) expert in charge of supporting the enhancement of PFM and corporate financial reporting practices in clients’ countries. Since she’s joined the World Bank in 2009, she has led several reforms projects for the Supreme Audit Institutions, and the Professional Accountancy Organizations and is currently leading the World Bank financed project “Strengthening Fiscal Governance” for the Ministry of Finance in Lebanon, as well as several other PFM reforms initiatives (Public Investment Management, forensic audit, etc..). She is a core member of the Joint UN and World Bank Strategic Framework for Anti-Corruption and Integrity Support to Lebanon. Recently, she has led the governance pillar development within the recent Beirut Port Explosion RDNA and 3RF. She also brought to the Bank more than 12 years of international experience in the financial control and auditing in the private sector where she served managerial roles in multinational companies. She has been an instructor at American universities in Lebanon teaching advanced accounting and financial reporting courses and is a former Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen. She is a Certified Public Accountant from the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy – USA.
