Rita Costa holds a Master in Public Policy from the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy and a BA in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. She currently works at the Human Development Network. Rita previously worked as a research assistant in the research department where she focused on the economic impact of HIV treatment in Ghana and Mozambique and was part of the team that produced the 2012 World Development Report on Gender Equality. Prior to joining the World Bank she has worked at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
