Robert Banick is a consultant for the World Bank specializing in complex spatial analysis, accessibility models, and open geospatial data. He was previously based in Kathmandu, Nepal, where he covered geospatial analysis needs and managed innovation projects across South and Southeast Asia. In addition to his World Bank work, Robert occasionally deploys to emergency settings with Doctors Without Borders (MSF). Prior to the World Bank and MSF, he worked as a GIS expert for the American Red Cross, where he supported disaster preparedness and response missions.
