Robert Inklaar is professor in the Economics of Productivity and Welfare at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands and he is the director of the Groningen Growth and Development Centre. His research focuses on improving the measurement and our understanding of cross-country income differences. He is one of the developers of the Penn World Table, a global database on income and productivity and he has closely worked with the World Bank on the International Comparison Program.
