Roberto Rubio is an economist with experience in sustainable banking, green finance, corporate finance, and financial inclusion. Currently, he serves as an Associate Operations Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Advisory. Roberto has been with IFC for over five years, focusing on the implementation of projects aimed at financial inclusion and climate finance, particularly for SMEs, with a strong emphasis on gender and vulnerable populations. Prior to joining IFC, he gained experience in the banking and food and beverage sectors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and an MBA from Barna Management School.
