Roberto Samaniego is Professor of Economics at George Washington University. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. He holds a BA in Economics from Princeton University. Professor Samaniego has published articles in leading economics journals including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Review of Economic Dynamics and the Journal of Economic Growth. His primary research interests are in macroeconomics and economic growth - particularly the relationship between technical progress, entrepreneurship and institutions. He is also the Director of Graduate Studies of the Economics Department Ph.D. program.
