Rochi Khemka serves as Senior Private Sector Specialist with the World Bank’s 2030 Water Resources Group (2030 WRG), a public-private collaboration platform for water security.
Rochi leads the global program and strategy implementation for 2030 WRG, with a core focus on advancing private sector solutions. She co-authored the World Bank Group’s strategic framework on ‘Scaling up Finance for Water’, focused on mainstreaming private sector-led impact and financing.
Rochi has a background in private sector development and financing at the global level, and across multiple countries in South Asia, East Asia, and Europe & Central Asia. She currently drives the incubation of private sector-driven models in support of water and climate goals. In the past, she has led the development of public-private partnership models, innovative financing mechanisms, and new economic instruments, resulting in first-of-its-kind programs and projects. Prior to the World Bank, she worked with International Finance Corporation (IFC), catalyzing private sector investments for water, agri, and urban sector sustainability with leading corporates; with McKinsey and Company, advising capital markets and investment banking clients; and with various global banking and capital markets players on infrastructure financing solutions.
Rochi holds a Master’s in Financial Economics from University of Oxford, UK.
