Roshen Fernando is as an Economist at the Economic Research and Development Impact Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). His research focuses on examining the economic implications of various development challenges and related policies. He leverages economic models to devise effective policy options that address these challenges. Before joining ADB, Roshen worked as a Consultant with The World Bank, where he co-developed economic models to assess the impact pathways of climate transition policies to inform advisory and analytical products. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the Australian National University with research covering the economic effects of COVID-19, climate change, and antimicrobial resistance. His work has been published in the Asian Economic PapersEconomic Modelling, and The World Economy.
