Rufaro Chakanetsa is a researcher and program specialist with six years of experience in program design and partnerships’ building in the nonprofit sector. She has advocated for disability inclusion, gender equality, for gender-based violence prevention and response, and for improving access to sexual and reproductive health and rights for marginalized groups. Chakanetsta has worked for Caritas International and the Women’s Action Group and has volunteered as an innovator against gender-based violence for UN Women. She has received a grant from the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. She is also a Mandela Washington Fellow and a member of the Association for Women’s Rights in Development.
