Ryan is an Economist from Universidad de Chile and holds a Master of Economics from the same institution. He has 14 years of experience in the design and implementation of experimental evaluations. Ryan served between 2009 and 2014 as Executive Director for the Abdul Latif Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) office for Latin America and the Caribbean, where he also served on the Board of Directors. He currently works at the Chilean Budget Office in the Ministry of Finance as the Coordinator of Experimental Policy, where, in partnership with international academics, he designs and implements experimental evaluations to generate evidence on the cost effectiveness of public policy in Chile in Education, Health, Entrepreneurship, Poverty Reduction, Social Security and Justice System. In present he is also pursuing a MC/MPA at Harvard University and is the President of the Board of Directors of the AI NGO ConsiliumBots.
