Sachiko Kondo is a Senior Natural Resources Management Specialist in the Environment, Natural Resources Management and Blue Economy (ENB) Global Practice at the World Bank, currently based in Madagascar and leading the ENB portfolio in Madagascar and Comoros. Sachiko has been working on sustainable fisheries management, aquaculture development, natural resources management, marine and coastal pollution management, coastal communities’ resilience improvement in blue economy. She is also working on nature-based tourism, biodiversity, sustainable environment management, reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and foster conservation, sustainable management of forests, and enhancement of forest carbon stocks, or REDD+.
