Safura Herlusia is a temporary consultant under Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment (MTI) Global Practice. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Universitas Gadjah Mada. Safura is currently working closely with MTI and Energy and Extractives Global Practices to support one of the workstreams under the Natural Resources for Development (NR4D) program, a trust fund sponsored by the Canadian Government, i.e. a analysis on gender mainstreaming in Indonesia’s mining industry. As part of her involvement in this program, Safura frequently participates in discussions on mining policy formulation and women empowerment in Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining. In addition, she is involved in the Leadership Incubation Program – part of the agile transformation initiative at the World Bank Office Jakarta. All of these experiences broaden her knowledge on gender and inclusivity, including its relation to policy, employment, extractives sector, and community engagement.
