Saki Kumagai is Social Development Specialist in the Governance Global Practice of the World Bank, where she works mainly on citizen engagement with specific focus on grievance redress mechanisms, information and communication technologies for social accountability, and social accountability in extractive industry operations. Prior to joining the Bank in 2011, Saki worked as a research analyst on science and technology policy with a private firm and as a research assistant at the London School of Economics (LSE). Saki holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and sociology from the American University and a master’s degree in human rights from LSE.
