Salman Anees Soz is a development practitioner, author, and commentator. He is a former World Bank staff member with experience across a range of economic development issues in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia. Beyond regional and country-level strategic issues, Salman’s World Bank experience includes working on issues related to climate change, disaster risk management, urban development, monitoring and evaluation and partnerships. He is a recipient of the World Bank President’s Award for Excellence as well as several other awards of recognition. Salman Soz holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Yale University (New Haven) and a Master's degree in Economics Northeastern University (Boston). He received a BA (Hons.) in Economics from St. Stephen's College (Delhi), where he was the elected President of the Students' Union Society.
