Samina Yasmin is an Agriculture Economist in the South Asia Region team of the Agriculture and Food Global Practice of the World Bank based in Dhaka. Samina has more than 10 years of experience in both Government and Non-government Organizations in agricultural research and, especially, in managing development projects, managing on-station and on-farm agricultural activities.
Prior to joining the Bank, she worked with Practical Action Bangladesh, International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), and the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). Samina completed her Ph.D. and Masters in Agronomy from the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh.
